Business Challenges
Chapel & York provides Cross Border Compliance and Operational & Management Support services for Charities and Non-profits worldwide. They help charities and non-profits of all sizes exceed their goals by offering creative ways to introduce them to, and enhance, their international fundraising. Since 1997 they have assisted their clients to raise over $1 billion for projects all over the world.
The solution
As a Greencorn IT client they had a pressing requirement to:
- Replace an old and slow server
- Install an additional ADSL internet line
- Replacement of Microsoft XP PC’s
- The slow and outdated hardware had started to impact on the performance of their IT services plus the exposure of having XP machines that Microsoft are no longer supporting.
The project for Greencorn involved:
- Replacing the server with a substantially upgraded version with offsite backup
- Install an additional ADSL internet line
- Supplying four new PC’s and migrating from in-house email to Office365
It was particularly challenging because two of the users had additional POP mailboxes and required these moving to another service provider and initially setting up outside of the Office365 mail accounts. After a while all were setup on Office365 – under one umbrella – thanks to Greencorn’s in depth knowledge of Office365.
Benefits
After a swift and successful project Chapel & York now have:
- A faster, resilient server, with safe secure offsite backups
- An additional internet line to provide resilience
- Emails in a hosted environment with an 99.99999% uptime and available from any internet connected PC
