Shift F7 have started the process of upgrading their ISO 27001 certification to the latest version and extending the scope of the certification beyond the data centre to all the services now provided by Shift F7 following the acquisitions made over the last few years.
The latest ISO 27001 2013 version specifies the requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining and continually improving an information security management system (ISMS) and places more emphasis on measuring and evaluating how well an organisation's ISMS is performing. An experienced Compliance Officer has been appointed to help us complete this project.
“This undertaking will require dedication and conscientious work across all areas of the business, however we feel it will be a worthwhile commitment to provide our customers with independent assurance that we have the processes in place across the full range of our services to guarantee that we can meet this standard.” said Garry King, CEO, “We envisage that this process will take a few months and I am very proud that the Shift F7 team are behind this commitment to meet the requirements of the 2013 revision and extend the certification company wide.”
